Our Family of the Month is Tracy Hills and her 2 children, Alex and Dora! Alex is 5 years old and he loves the movie Cars 2. He also likes to play the Bongo drums. He is a great big brother and loves to read with his little sister. Dora is 2 years old and she loves Princess Elmo! They love spending family time together and going to the park. They are saving up their money to go to Legoland. This is their story:
Tracy Hills lived in Florida all her life. She grew up in an alcoholic home. She decided to change her life when she became a single mother with two children to raise on her own. She is now a part of the Homeless Emergency Project (HEP), a shelter in Clearwater. Tracy had to leave her business and house. As part of HEP's case management plan, she had to get a new job. She will be starting school soon and is thinking about a career in nursing. She has been attending church regularly with her two children.
It was a joy meeting this family! Dora and Alex are great kids and love to spend time with their mom.
